Full-Stack Engineer (Ruby+React)

Job Description

On behalf of Quorso, GT is looking for a Full-Stack Engineer interested in building different data transformation pipelines as well as participating in growing the functionality of the core app which includes building APIs, user interfaces, and core insights infrastructure.

About the Client

Quorso is one of Retail’s most exciting SaaS startups. Its Agile Stores technology simplifies retailers’ data into daily Next Best Actions (“Missions”) for every store, guaranteed to engage teams and drive sales.

Its Enterprise platform targets large multi-site retailers, which provides different insights to large enterprises resulting in a need to deal with the big volumes of data in the multi-production setup. Well funded by one of the world’s largest investors, and its investors include CEOs and Chairpersons of a number of the 100 largest companies in the world.

About the Role

You’ll be joining a competent team of engineers who are combining highly sophisticated analytics with simple user experiences.

Quorso trying to do something big in the world and wants the type of people who get excited by the complexity of the challenge.


  • Participating/contributing to the stage of defining scope, planning implementation, and estimating tasks
  • Dealing with big data, ETL, being proficient in SQL
  • Rspec - unit/acceptance testing
  • Advanced debugging (beyond using ruby / JS output commands)
  • Working with logs (grepping/regex)
  • Building frontend apps and components (SPA)

Essential knowledge, skills & experience:

  • 3+ years of commercial experience
  • Ruby
  • SQL (PostgreSQL)
  • Ruby on Rails
  • Sidekiq
  • Rspec
  • React / Redux


  • Git
  • Common development practices - scoping/implementation planning / PRs and code reviewing
  • Shell
  • Advanced usage of text editors for efficient coding
