Product Engineer

Job Description

At Stacker our goal is to enable anyone and everyone to create software from the data they already have. Founded in 2017, we’re backed by Andreessen Horowitz (A16z), Y Combinator (YC) and Initialized Capital. We raised a $20 million Series A last year, and are working on big company bets to move the needle even further.

We want to change the way software is built. We've got some exciting business opportunities to solve, many of which have never been solved before. We’re pushing forward the frontier of No Code here, a paradigm which we believe is the future of the software industry.

We're looking for an experienced product-minded software engineer to help us build our platform that allows customers to run rich, flexible apps - all built without code.

Some things you might work on 🖥

  • Improve and evolve our browser-based app editor. We aspire to build a world-class user experience and want you to drive that forwards with us
  • Integrate more data sources into our backend so users can use more data from more places in their Stacker apps
  • Expand the data relationships our platform can model to enable more powerful Stacker apps, while keeping the UX simple for users
  • Add advanced functionality like formulas to Stacker, making it useful and useable for non-programmers
  • Ship new features regularly, and see them used immediately by our users to make their apps work better and do more

Requirements

Ultimately we are looking for Engineers with a good amount of experience building quality web products as part of a team and shipping to real users.

We are not that focused on specific technologies, or years of experience. We care most about what you have done, and could do at Stacker.

But to give you some baseline, in practice we think that typically means you have 3+ years building products for the web using the same or similar tech to our stack, which is React with Typescript on the frontend, and Django on the backend.

For example, if you know Vue we expect you'll pick up React quickly, if you know Rails we expect you'll pick up Django easily. Many of our team have learned parts of our stack on the job, it's completely expected.

It'd be a bonus if you have experience with any of Postgres, Docker/Kubernetes and GCP, which we use for infra.

Please note we're not able to provide visa sponsorship for this opportunity at this moment in time.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary 💰
  • We’re fully remote, and you can work remotely from anywhere in Europe 🌍
  • 36 days annual leave (including any local public holidays) ✈️
  • Stock options 📈
  • 35-hour working week (Mon-Fri)
  • Collaboration spaces expensed to allow you to meet up with colleagues in shared working environments
  • IT equipment paid for by Stacker 💻
