Responsibilities

• As a Developer you will be a part of a small team that moves fast in order to provide and develop services to process and localize large amounts of e-commerce listings and run thousands of localized Ecommerce sites.
• You will work on the development of our internal micro-services & APIs to support a flow of millions of products and orders between domestic and international stores
• You will have an opportunity to use cutting-edge new technologies provided by Google Cloud Platform on a daily basis
• You will improve performance and scalability of our services
• You will continuously seek to develop your skills, learning tools and technologies that help you master your profession
• You always stand up to the challenges your software may present to the not so amused customer, be the light in the tunnel, not just at the end of it.
• You influence your peers, your stakeholders to design a top notch solution for every problem space you put your hands on.
• Help with architecture-level design decisions during various phases of a project.

Must Have

• 3+ years of recent production quality Python product development experience
• Proven experience with developing and maintaining highly scalable backend processing applications
• Experience with cloud service providers (AWS or preferably GCP)
• Experience with Pytest
• Experience with message queues (e.g. Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks, RabbitMQ)
• Experience with the following technologies:
• Git
• SQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• NoSQL databases (e.g. Google Datastore, MongoDB, DynamoDB)
• Caching services (Memcached, Redis)
• Strong analytical skills
• Good written and spoken English, comfortable with working in an international environment

Nice to Have

• Hand-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (AppEngine, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, CloudTasks, Datastore, BigQuery)
• Practical knowledge of various caching techniques
  
• Experience with Google APIs (Content API, Google Adwords/Ads API)
• Facebook Graph API
• TDD approach
• Practical experience with designing REST APIs (Swagger/OpenAPI)
• Contributions to Open Source (send us your GitHub ID!)
• Basic DevOps skills
• Knowledge of at least one e-commerce platform (e.g. Shopify, Magento)
• Experience working in an Agile / Scrum environment
• Experience with Java
