Krepling is growing over 270% year-over-year, and has raised funding from top-tier investors across San Francisco, the south-east and beyond. Krepling was set up as a fully remote company from the start, with an optional in-person office in Tennessee. Today, our small but mighty team is distributed across North America and Europe.

What is the role?

As the Head of Design at Krepling, you will spearhead our design efforts and lead a dynamic team, playing a crucial role in shaping the aesthetic and functional aspects of our products. This role demands a blend of creativity and leadership, as you will work closely with the Chief Product Officer (CPO) and the engineering team to build and manage both the UI/UX of Krepling products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design function of the wider product team through all phases of design, from conception to deployment.
• Build, manage, and scale an extensive design team, ensuring a collaborative and productive environment.
• Oversee the design process, ensuring alignment with Krepling's brand and business goals.
• Work closely with the CPO and engineering teams to integrate designs into product development.
• Proficient in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design software.
• Develop user-friendly interfaces and experiences, incorporating user feedback and testing.
• Understand and facilitate the translation of designs into live products.
• Staying updated with current design and technology trends.
• Skilled in creating and animating 3D designs and videos.
• Expertise in using Web GL for advanced web graphics.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in UI/UX design at a high-growth tech company and/or as a freelancer
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and inspire engineering teams in a high-growth startup.
