The Mandate

We’re looking for a remote Head of Marketing to take full charge of our marketing strategy. You’ll be responsible for designing content strategies to implement concurrently across several dimensions, emphasizing all the things that make us better than the competition.

Your first priorities will include:

  • Building a deep understanding of Empire’s core selling points as well as things about us that we aren’t expressing well enough and creating campaigns that deliver this message effectively to the CSGO community. For example, we have the best zero-fee CSGO trading platform out there with the best liquidity, but this isn’t common knowledge!
  • Restructuring the marketing team under you (people, processes, and tools) to help accelerate the pace at which we connect with our community and expand our brand;
  • Developing a multi-channel content strategy.

The ideal candidate is:

  • Experienced in all things marketing, from strategy to execution, particulary in igaming, e-sports or web3
  • A leader that goes beyond the basic managerial duties to inspire, motivate and mentor a fully remote team of marketers;
  • Highly motivated and ready to get their hands dirty with a wide variety of tasks - no job should be too big or too small;
  • Resourceful, with the ability to quickly grasp deep levels of context and bring abstract ideas to life.

How We Hire

We have a merit-based recruitment process because we want to hire the best people. So University degrees aren’t a requirement for any role, and we have no such thing as a diversity quota.

Your application will be considered holistically. For example, someone with a marketing degree applying for an influencer management role but no industry contacts would not be chosen over a high school dropout that has a deep network and a history of structuring great deals.

On the other hand, a degree could be a big plus for a research assistant application as it proves your ability to persevere and focus on high-level tasks. It’s all about context.
