Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a global content and SEO strategy that aligns with italki's business objectives and brand voice.
  • Create high-quality, engaging content across various channels, including blogs, websites, social media, and email campaigns.
  • Conduct thorough keyword research and optimize existing content to enhance organic search performance and identify new opportunities.
  • Collaborating with the broader marketing team to ensure the content aligned with global strategy and business objectives.
  • Work closely with the product team to ensure new website features and product releases are optimized for SEO.
  • Monitor and analyze SEO performance using tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, or similar platforms, providing actionable insights to drive traffic and improve rankings.
  • Stay current with SEO trends, algorithm changes, and best practices to ensure italki stays ahead of the competition in search engine visibility.
  • Partner with designers, developers, and marketing teams to ensure content is visually appealing, technically sound, and aligns with campaign objectives.
  • Manage, mentor, and guide editorial staff (including agencies and freelancers) to meet content and SEO goals.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and spoken English skills; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in content creation and SEO, preferably within the e-learning industry and multi-market environments.
  • In-depth understanding of SEO principles, including on-page and off-page optimization, technical SEO, and link-building strategies.
  • Proficiency in SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, SEMetrics) and content management systems (e.g., Hubspot).
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and local market spokespeople.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and convert it into actionable strategies for improvement.
