What we are looking for

We are looking for a Motion Designer to join our growing design team. Our motion designers take ownership of video production, motion graphics, social media graphics, illustrations, business templates and any other brand materials to support product and marketing. For this role we are looking for a Motion Designer to hit the ground running and support other motion designers working across the Bitfinex eco system of products.

You will report to the Head of Design and will:

• Drive the strategy and positioning of your campaigns.
• Plan, scope, and ideate on creative work that contributes to a long-term plan.
• Communicate your ideas and work to your direct team and other teams.
• Product high quality motion graphics and videos and creative designs, taking full ownership.
• Work within our brand guidelines and design systems to create consistent creative ideas.
• Scale your videos and designs across multiple platforms and surfaces.

This is a remote position and candidates will need to work primarily within European time zones.

Job requirements

• 3+ years experience working on a mix of motion, video and graphic design.
• Experience with Fintech would be an advantage but isn’t essential.
• A strong portfolio with real examples of videos and motion graphics and illustrations you created.
• You obsess over the details and have a strong visual style.
• You’re naturally curious about video, design, communication and technology.
• You’re always open to constructive feedback and always willing to learn smarter ways of working.

Team

Our Gaming team is made up of hybrid-casual, casual and mid-core experts. Our 'Core' games team supports internal and external studios worldwide in creating, developing and launching new hit games, whilst our 'Live' games team focuses on delivering higher engagement on our existing and successful games.

You’ll be part of an internal Core studio of Voodoo, an international team based in Europe. We produce hybrid-casual games, create and test multiple prototypes each month.

Role

We are looking for a senior environment game artist who has been a primary contributor to the art concept, design, and asset creation for several casual games. You will work closely with our Unity game developers.

• Work closely with small teams of Unity game developers.
• Provide and analyze art references for games and features, create mock-ups.
• Create and adapt game assets such as characters, environments, and user interface elements, in both 2D and 3D.
• Enhance games with impactful vfx and animations.
• Integrate your work in Unity and collaborate with devs to solve technical challenges.

Profile

• Good English to communicate smoothly with the team.
• At least 2 years of prior experience working on mobile games.
• Photoshop, Unity, and Blender (or other 3D software) have no secrets for you.
• You have technical knowledge to optimize your assets and workflow.
• You have strong artistic foundations and a keen eye for detail.
• You are adaptable, and able to adjust your style to match different games.
• You work collaboratively, give and receive feedback with care.
• You consistently push boundaries, strive to enhance your art each day, and embrace new technologies such as generative AI.
• You love the mobile games market and understand the importance of data to make decisions.

The expertise we’re looking for:

• At least 2 years of experience as a motion designer
• A portfolio is required
• Understanding of animation principles, knowledge of composition basics, and color theory
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
• Ability to work with auxiliary software and plugins (Element 3D, Particular)
• Experience with 3D in one of the following software (Maya, 3DS Max, Blender, Cinema 4D) will be an advantage

We are currently seeking a Senior Character Concept Artist. You will be a great candidate for this role if you are a versatile artist with experience in character design and weapons creation in a AAA game development environment and have a strong portfolio supporting it.

• Spearhead the design a variety of subjects across genres from characters, weapons and even props, while maintaining the core game vision set by the Art Director and Game Designers
• Drive the creation of explorative thumbnails in 2D and 3D, ensuring high-quality innovative design.
• Create high quality concepts from early production to final render.
• Create quick open line designs and rough silhouette sketches that communicate space and form.
• Collaborate with other artists by providing feedback, guiding them towards excellent and alignment with project standards.
• Provide feedback through paint overs.
• Storyboard creation

• Extensive experience as Generalist Concept Artist with a proven ability to design a diverse variety of subjects across genres with a special focus on characters and weapons
• Expertise in executing concepts in a semi-stylized approach.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be working closely with our UX/UI design experts, founders, video editors, course producers and other team members to make the most inspiring and engaging videos for our ever-growing catalog of courses.

About You

• You’ve worked as a professional full-time video editor for at least 5 years.  
• You can create engaging motion graphics and animations that intelligently and beautifully enhance your video production.
• You have solid practical experience working with Adobe Premiere Pro to edit raw videos and do basic post-production work, and in Adobe After Effects for advanced editing and animating motion graphics.  
• You’re fluent in working with imported or exported raster and vector images using tools such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. You know how to use your assets from Adobe Illustrator in Adobe After Effects and vice versa.  
• You can push video learning 'one step beyond', so your edits, animations, on-screen text and other visual effects work in perfect harmony to complement each instructor’s material and inspire the viewer to continue learning.  
• You use the latest AI tools to perfect and improve not only the quality of videos but the workflow and efficiency of delivering projects.
• You’re a team player with proven collaborative experience on team projects. At the same time, you can work independently and deliver results because you’re intrinsically motivated.
• You’re attentive to details in everything you do.
• You understand the importance of a return on investment. You know how to find the balance between the efforts you put into a project and the results you get from it.
