We are seeking an experienced and hands-on IT Manager to lead and manage our fully remote workplace operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in managing tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, SentinelOne, NinjaRMM, Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), and Microsoft 365. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless service delivery and support for our global user base, as well as managing vendor relationships in multiple countries, addressing the challenges of a diverse, remote workforce.
Responsibilities:
- Hands-on Management: Take a proactive, hands-on approach in managing and optimizing the use of Google Workspace, Slack, SentinelOne, NinjaRMM, Azure AD, and Microsoft 365 within the organization to ensure that employees have the necessary tools to operate effectively.
- Global IT Service Delivery:
- Lead the workplace services function to provide exceptional service to a fully remote, global workforce.
- Develop and implement support strategies that work across multiple time zones and regions, ensuring 24/7 support and services where necessary.
- Vendor and Partner Management:
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers across different countries, ensuring service levels are met, negotiating contracts, and resolving issues as they arise.
- Ensure vendors comply with the company's remote work requirements.
- IT Security and Compliance:
- Collaborate closely with IT security teams to ensure that the organization's endpoint security is maintained using SentinelOne and that all systems are secured and compliant with global standards.
- Ensure Azure AD and Microsoft 365 are securely integrated with the overall infrastructure.
- Patch Management and Monitoring: Use NinjaRMM to monitor, manage, and patch all end-user devices across the organization, ensuring security and compliance in all regions.
- User Onboarding and Offboarding: Develop and execute seamless global onboarding/offboarding processes, ensuring new hires are provided with the necessary tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack) and that leavers are securely offboarded, with all access removed, particularly within Google Workspace, Azure AD and other cloud services.
- Process Improvement and Standardization: Continuously evaluate and improve workplace service processes, policies, and standards, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of a fully remote, distributed workforce.
- Cross-Platform Expertise: Provide support and troubleshooting expertise across both Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 environments, ensuring smooth collaboration and integration between the two.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a distributed IT team, ensuring high levels of service delivery, collaboration, and user satisfaction across the organization.
- Metrics and Reporting: Track, monitor, and report on service-level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and system performance, ensuring the highest levels of workplace service availability and quality.
Requirements:
- Education: Certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA, Google Workspace Administrator, Azure Administrator Associate, or Microsoft 365 Certified are a plus.
- Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in workplace services, IT management, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing remote teams.
- Hands-on experience with Google Workspace, Slack, SentinelOne, NinjaRMM, Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), and Microsoft 365 is required.
- Proven ability to manage vendors and service providers across different countries, ensuring high service quality and vendor accountability.
- Strong technical understanding of IT infrastructure, security practices, and compliance for global, distributed teams, with direct experience managing tools like Google Workspace, Azure AD, and SentinelOne.
- Project Management Skills: Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects and priorities across time zones and geographies.
- Leadership & Collaboration:
- Exceptional leadership skills with experience leading cross-functional teams.

How long is the recruitment process?

As a software engineer, you will work with your product team to build and extend new features. The Team
We are a cross-functional product team, 7-8 backend and frontend engineers, a UX/UI designer, and a product manager.
The role
- Implement solutions in Go that work reliably at scale with a strong focus on readability and testability;
- Tackle sophisticated technical challenges involving multiple technologies;
- Work closely with your product team and other teams to design, implement, and deploy new features on the Spacelift platform;
- Participate in discovery sessions with Spacelift users and be curious about their problems, the way they work, and their challenges;
- Be proactive; provide initiative and technical leadership
About You
- Self-motivated and high-performing, with a passion for both the business and the tech;
- Hands-on experience with Go, 1 year or more is a plus;
- 2 + years of Ansible experience
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering;
- Good understanding of at least one public cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure);
- Product-driven and strong interest in DevOps, Platform Engineering, and Developer Experience topics;
- Experience working on developer tooling internally or externally is a plus;
- Ideally, you worked with an IaC tool — OpenTofu/Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation – or CloudNative/Kubernetes;
- You have proven experience solving complex technical problems and taking initiative in addressing them;
- Experience in early-stage startup is a plus;

We are predominantly a Python shop, but we also use Node.js, TypeScript, React, AngularJS, REST APIs and host our cloud software in AWS, but we’re open to developers who have expertise in different languages as long as you're open to learning!

What skills do I need?
- You have 1-3 years of professional software development experience.
- Utilize programming languages like Python, Node.js, RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
- Well-versed with AWS Cloud based services such as ECS, Lambda, EC2, and related technologies e.g. ELB, API Gateway, Security groups, VPCs, etc
- Well-versed with OpenSearch
- You can code, conduct reviews on architecture and code along with other team members to build effective software
- Apply engineering best practices in TDD, clean code, CI/CD to analyze, design, develop, deploy, and support product solutions
- Experience with Agile methodologies/DevSecOps environment
- Breadth and depth of experience in areas like application platforms, integration patterns, event-driven architecture, data management, and infrastructure as code
