Growth Marketing Lead
At Doist, our mission is to empower people with simple yet powerful tools.
We're a multidisciplinary, fully-remote, team that’s passionate about creating products, like Todoist and Twist, that improve people’s lives. We thrive on innovating new solutions to old productivity challenges and we seek to rethink how productivity tools are made.
Our Core Values
They are few, but they are mighty. From creating processes to decision-making and recruiting, we build our four core values into nearly every single thing we do.
- Ambition. You aspire to put a dent in the universe. You set high standards for yourself and those around you. You solve issues that have a high impact on our customers and our company.
- Mastery. You care deeply about the quality of your work. You’re continuously learning and pushing yourself to the limits of your ability. As a champion of your craft, you are also a champion of your well-being – you work intensely, then disconnect completely.
- Independence. Others can trust that you’ll deliver on time. You keep your word and trust your teammates to do the same. You are proactive, take ownership, and remain accountable with little or no direction.
- Communication. Your communication is clear, concise, and engaging. You keep others in the loop and never go radio silent. You speak respectfully and foster warm relationships through your interactions. You’re culturally and socially aware and can appropriately navigate social situations.

Your Team & Role
Ready to help shape the next era of growth at Doist? As Growth Marketing Lead, you’ll guide the strategy and execution that bring new users and teams into the product and help them succeed once they’re here. You’ll drive user acquisition and conversion across growth marketing channels (e.g., paid, partner, web) and collaborate closely with PMM, Content, Product, CX, Brand and other teams to improve how we acquire new users, convert them into paying and team accounts, and deepen their engagement over time.
This is both a strategic and hands-on leadership role: You’ll lead through deep expertise, solving our hardest growth marketing challenges while elevating the work of those around you. You’ll directly manage a small, talented team (Performance Marketing, International Marketing, and Lifecycle Marketing) and work with internal and external partners to connect our brand story to measurable business impact.
You’ll define how we achieve and measure growth across performance and lifecycle marketing, manage and improve our experimentation and reporting systems, and partner with Product to inform monetization strategy. Your work will help Doist make faster, smarter decisions about where and how to invest for profitable, sustainable, long-term growth.
Importantly, you’ll bring a balanced approach to growth. We believe our brand is our most powerful growth lever, and that marketing should be “50% measurable, 50% memorable.” We don’t pursue growth at all costs; the right candidate will be as committed to long-term trust and creative quality as to short-term performance. Creativity will be essential to your success. As a bootstrapped company, we don’t outspend competitors; we outthink them. You’ll explore unconventional growth paths, stretch a modest paid budget, and find leverage through ideas, partnerships, and storytelling that scale our impact without diluting our brand.
Your work will have the potential to make a meaningful impact within an independent company. Not everyone is up for that level of responsibility, but if you are, you’ll have an outsized opportunity to shape how Doist grows in this next chapter.
About You
We’re looking for someone who combines strategic depth with hands-on expertise: a practitioner who can see the big picture, get into the details, and bring others along. You’re motivated by solving complex growth problems with simplicity and integrity.
You don’t just run experiments; you help the organization learn faster. You don’t just manage people; you enable them to do their best work. And you understand that growth is not only about numbers but about earning trust at every step of the customer journey.
