We are looking for a results-driven Key Account Manager to join our team, being pivotal in our automotive partnerships with a focus on Vehicle Manufacturers (OEMs) based in Europe. You will be taking on responsibilities as a Key Account Manager reporting into the VP of European Sales, this is a fantastic opportunity to play an important role in managing relationships with key OEMs, driving revenue growth, and ensuring client satisfaction.

In the Parkopedia Sales and BD team we are working with nearly all car manufacturers around the globe. Our team is split into regional teams covering EU/NA/JP and CN.

Transparency within the team is one of our key success factors, as sharing information and looking outside of our own focus area creates a lot of opportunities.

We are selling complex products in the area of connected services and the fun part is that we see our products already used in 50% of cars sold across Europe.

This role will suit a a confident relationship builder who has been interacting with clients in the automotive industry, to be successful in this role you will need to have sales maturity, being able to adapt to different hierarchy levels at OEMs, understanding that B2B sales mainly is based on personal relationships.

Our sales team has an entrepreneurial approach to daily tasks, these are based on wider company objectives, an expectation in this role is to be able to advocate on behalf of the clients towards our internal Parkopedia teams, mainly product management and engineering.

The car industry is defined by long sales cycles, things we sell today might first show up in vehicles for the first time in two years, therefore we are looking for somebody for the long run. Beyond building relationships as a main skill, the ideal candidate should also be structured and comfortable with details, which means asking the right questions and collecting information to create an overall picture of the account.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify customer needs and requirements, covering technical and commercial
  • Promote Parkopedia's solutions to achieve the highest customer satisfaction
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within OEM organizations, serving as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts
  • Ensure an on time and on budget provision of Parkopedia's services
  • Serve as the link of communication between key customers' teams and Parkopedia's internal teams
  • Drive revenue growth through upselling, cross-selling, and renewal activities, while consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Prepare regular progress reports and forecasts for internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics

  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify emerging opportunities and potential risks

Requirements

  • Sales and account management with cloud based solutions for automotive
  • Demonstrable insight and understanding of automotive / connected services ecosystems
  • Proven business acumen and negotiation skills, with the ability to navigate complex sales cycles and influence key stakeholders
  • Track record of problem-solving and sales cycle negotiations
  • Client communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility at all levels of an organization
  • Ability to adapt to evolving business needs. A self starter that can work independently
  • Fluency in English (additionally German and French language skills are a plus)
  • Ability to travel to meet with clients without restriction across Europe as required
